Telegram Channels

Aggregate public Telegram channels directly into CubeTerminal's news feed by adding their handles — no bot to create, no token to paste.

You don't bring your own bot. CubeTerminal runs a server-side worker that joins the public channels you list and streams their messages to your terminal. You just add the channel handle.

Adding a Channel

  1. Open Settings → News Sources
  2. Under Add New Source, choose Telegram Channel
  3. Enter the handle — @WhaleTrades or https://t.me/WhaleTrades
  4. Click Add

Channels stream in over a server-sent connection (/api/telegram/messages) into the News Feed widget. You can add up to 20 channels. Disable or remove a channel anytime from the same tab.

What Works

  • Public channels — anything with a public @handle or t.me/ link
  • Text and media — message text plus attached images
  • Reconnect replay — after a brief drop, the last hour is re-sent and marked as late so you don't miss messages or mistake them for live

Private channels and groups that require membership aren't supported through this path.

News Format

Telegram items display:

  • Source badge — cyan "TG"
  • Channel — channel name and handle
  • Content — message text (auto-translated when non-Latin)
  • Media — images inline
  • Timestamp — message time

Telegram Also Arrives via Other Feeds

Some Telegram content flows in through Bark and TreeNews as NEW_TELEGRAM_MESSAGE events, independent of the channels you add here. Enable those feeds for additional Telegram coverage curated upstream.

⚠️

Be cautious with trading-signal channels. Verify quality and never blindly follow signals.

Not the Trading Bot

This page is about reading Telegram channels in your feed. CubeTerminal also has a separate Telegram bot for placing trades (/buy, /sell, /close, /positions, /pnl, …) — that's a different feature configured elsewhere.

Troubleshooting

Channel not appearing

  1. Confirm the handle is spelled correctly
  2. Ensure the channel is public
  3. Give the worker a moment to join and start relaying

Hit the channel limit

  • The maximum is 20 channels — remove one you no longer follow to add another
