Bark News Source
Bark (bark.gg (opens in a new tab)) is a fast crypto news feed that delivers far more than headlines: curated news, social posts from across platforms, and structured on-chain events — all over a single WebSocket.
What Bark Delivers
A single Bark connection carries multiple event types, each rendered as its own card:
- News & headlines — curated crypto news and articles
- Social posts — tweets, Telegram messages, Truth Social, Warpcast, Binance Square, YouTube
- On-chain activity — wallet swaps, token/SOL transfers, perp positions and liquidations, token deploys, aggregated buy signals
- Launch & listing events — pump.fun highlights, callouts and livestreams, Binance Alpha and Moonshot listings, Bags fee claims
Swaps, transfers, and perp events arrive as structured data, so they render as rich cards with wallet labels, USD value, market cap, chain, and quick-trade buttons — not just plain text.
Community Feed vs. Personal Key
Without a key you are already on the free community Bark feed, which is delayed 5 seconds server-side. A personal Bark subscription is the real-time path and what we recommend for trading.
- Community feed — auto-added when no Bark source is configured. Zero setup, 5s delay.
- Personal subscription — real-time. Get one at bark.gg/plans (opens in a new tab), then add your API key.
Adding your own Bark source (even disabled) replaces the community feed — your intent wins.
Configuration
- Open Settings → News Sources
- Under Add New Source, choose Bark
- Paste your API Key (leave blank to stay on the community feed)
- Click Add Source
The source connects immediately and begins streaming into the News Feed widget.
News Format
Bark items display:
- Source badge — accent-colored "BARK"
- Content — full news text, tweet/message text, or a formatted event summary
- Author — handle and avatar for social posts (clickable)
- Tickers — detected symbols, clickable to trade
- Media — inline images and video
- Timestamp — publication time
- Trade links — pre-filled trade/swap buttons on token events
Best Practices
- Keyword highlights — flag symbols you trade and terms like "listing", "hack", "partnership"
- Text-to-speech — enable voiceover so you hear breaking headlines without watching the feed
- Filtering — filter by source to isolate Bark, or combine with TreeNews for breadth
Troubleshooting
Not receiving news
- Verify the API key is correct (or confirm you're on the community feed)
- Check your Bark subscription is active
- Ensure Bark is enabled and not filtered out
- Disable and re-enable to force a reconnect
Connection errors
- Check network connectivity
- Verify the key hasn't expired
- Contact Bark support if issues persist
